Dear Neighbors, July is almost over. So many good things are coming in August. We are so very excited that the Kan Kan is opening in just a few weeks. There will be a casual neighbor event on Sunday, August 15th, a members-only event on August 19th and a public opening August 20th. You can stay up to date on the details by checking in with them here. Need a job? They are hiring! And... The Feast of Lanterns is back! We may be biased but we think the Feast is magic. This event, with deep history in our neighborhood, combines community, live music, craft vendors, food and drink vendors... and lots of lit paper lanterns. August 28th from 4-11pm. Our neighborhood will have a booth at the Feast and we are looking for neighbors to hang out with. Are you interested? Please sign up here. What else are your neighbors up to? If you feel like mixing a little socializing and beautification of our public spaces, you can join neighbors at the George Berry Gateway Garden this Thursday, July 29th, 6-7pm or join the Street Team next Thursday, August 5th, 6-7pm. If you can’t attend for the entire time - no problem!
