Interested in the neighborhood backing your idea or volunteering, please email us at wearewindsorpark@gmail.com. And all are always welcome at our bi-monthly neighborhood meet-ups, held on the third Wednesday of odd months (January, March, May, July, September, November) at 6:30 pm at various locations around the neighborhood. Our Land Use Committee meets the third Tuesday of each month (if there is business).

MEMBERSHIP

MEMBERSHIP

Anyone who lives, works or owns property within the boundaries of Windsor Park can be a member of our city-registered, non-profit (501c3) neighborhood organization, WPNA. Membership dues are $10 per person, per year. You can pay this year’s dues (and shop for fun neighborhood merchandise) HERE!

Questions? Reach us via email at wearewindsorpark@gmail.com or join us at one of our neighborhood meet-ups (details can be found on our online calendar) or at any of our events.

Being a member of the Windsor Park Neighborhood Association is a demonstration of your support and gives you a direct say in the decisions that effect our organization. WPNA provides a voice for our neighbors when dealing with developers and the city, engages in safety and beautification efforts and provides multiple opportunities for neighbors to connect throughout the year.

VOLUNTEER

VOLUNTEER

Windsor Park hosts and participates in several events throughout the year. Sign up here to be notified about ways you can help. These events build community, improve our neighborhood and make living in Windsor Park a lot more fun. Complete the form at the bottom of the page or email us at wearewindsorpark@gmail.com to find out what events are coming up.

Many of our neighbors also volunteer with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB) to keep our neighborhood clean and to spruce up our green spaces. If you are interested in help cleaning up your block, you can sign up for KIB’s Adopt-A-Block program here,  http://www.kibi.org/programs/beautification/adopt-a-block/. You can look to see which blocks are open for adoption, here.

Our neighborhood-owned and maintained park, Fletcher Park, was developed as a part of KIB’s IPL Project Greenspace Grant program and it all started as a big idea put together by a few Windsor Park neighbors. The trees planned to go along the Pogues Run Trail in May 2017 are also part of a KIB Neighbor Woods Grant. Do you have a “big idea” and want to develop a green space, garden or think there is somewhere in the neighborhood that needs trees, consider submitting a project application with KIB.  http://www.kibi.org/programs/overview/

STAY INFORMED

STAY INFORMED

The Windsor Park Neighborhood Association produces a quarterly newsletter in both print and digital formats, and distributes the printed copies to all occupied homes in the neighborhood. If you are interested in distributing the newsletter on your block, please let us know by sending us an email to wearewindsorpark@gmail.com.

You can sign up to receive your newsletter via email by filling out this form. This helps us reduce waste on both the environment and our spending, allowing us more time and money to further neighborhood efforts.

Please note, your address is required so we can remove you from the print distribution list.

NEXTDOOR

Many of our neighbors are using Nextdoor, a private social media site for neighborhoods.

People are using Nextdoor to:

  • Quickly get the word out about a break-in or accident
  • Organize neighborhood events
  • Track down a trustworthy babysitter
  • Market properties
  • Find out who the best contractors are in our area
  • Ask for help finding lost dogs, cats, items
  • Find a new home for an outgrown bike, an old refrigerator, a car, anything!

If you would like to join, go to https://nextdoor.com.
